原浙江队主教练乔迪在接受《足球》报专访时表示，他愿意参加中国男足国家队选帅的竞聘，若能执教中国男足国家队，对他而言将是莫大的荣幸。
中国男足国家队近期正在选帅，您愿意参加竞聘吗？
乔迪：“当然感兴趣。我一直说，我看好中国球员的潜力，尤其是新一代球员正以更充分的准备崭露头角。能执教中国国家队对我而言将是莫大的荣幸。”
中国男足国家队在世预赛18强赛时所表现出来的技战术水平是否真实？符合您对国足的预期吗？
乔迪：“我对曾执教（国足）的教练们保持着最大的敬意，但我是真的认为国家队的水平远高于他们在预选赛中展现的水平，我依然相信这支队伍蕴藏着巨大的潜力。”
很多中国球迷觉得现在的国家队，神仙来带都没用，您对中国男足国家队有信心吗？
乔迪：“当然了，绝对有。亚洲确实存在实力强大的竞争对手，但只要保持信心并认真努力，中国必然会跻身亚洲顶尖行列。”
如果真有机会带国家队，您是会根据国家队球员的能力做出改变？还是坚持贯彻自身的执教思路？
乔迪：“必须根据团队能力调整战术理念，但核心始终是我对比赛的理解方式。”
如果参与竞聘，您想好如何面对巨大的压力了吗？
乔迪：“哪里都会有压力，但我给自己施加的压力更大。此外，我认为在中国有足够的工作空间，正式比赛前总有几天时间来充分准备球队。我和我的团队也懂得如何利用集训间隙的时间，同时不干扰俱乐部的工作。”
在您看来，未来中国足球的发展是否需要大批量的归化球员？
乔迪：“这或许是短期解决方案，但我认为并非关键所在，只要做好选拔工作，并持续发掘中国本土的众多人才，就不必依赖归化球员。”
您觉得中国球员普遍最欠缺的是什么？他们又有哪些优点？
乔迪：“他们最需要的是提升战术水平，无论是个人还是集体层面。但他们拥有出色的技术能力，只要采用正确的训练方法，甚至能超出预期地发挥实力。”
如果您当选国足主帅的话，会如何帮助国家队？
乔迪：“我一直坚信的是，我会将自己置于当今足球知识的最高水平，并随时准备在他们需要的任何领域提供帮助，无论是作为教练、顾问还是培训师。只要他们认为我能发挥最大作用，我就会出现在那里。”
部分球迷认为，您更适合当中国足球国字号球队的整体设计师，帮助设计和完善战术风格、战术体系。
